One of the great things about Heroes is that we’ll never run out of people to talk to. They keep adding new characters, and so much happens that we can always interview the old ones again. Kristen Bell is one of the new ones. She came on with her eletro-Highlander/Emperor power looking for Peter Petrelli, but nothing much happened there. Surely, more is to come.

Crave Online: So, does Elle have a connection to Peter Petrelli? Does she work for the company? Do you know?

Kristen Bell: I have a lot of information about Peter€™s past. She has ties to HRG and to Claire. There€™s going to be a very interesting dynamic I think, between her and Claire as far as what is and what is not. And I think there€™s going to be a deeper relationship there than people are expecting. They€™re going to see maybe some parallels. But she also has ties to a little bit to Suresh. She€™s a little messed up in the head which makes her really manipulative and always out to get what she wants. She doesn€™t have many boundaries which I think is the really interesting part of playing this character on this particular show because the whole first season has been about these fairly good-natured people in trying to embrace these confusing abilities and being very conflicted as to how they should be using them. Elle is not that way at all. She very much enjoys her power and enjoys the emotional power it gives her over other people.

Starpulse has a list of their top 10 most underrated celebrities. Kristen is number 8 on their list. Here is what they say about her:

“Kristen Bell, like Jensen Ackles, is no stranger to television. Before hitting it big with the critically acclaimed “Veronica Mars,” Bell appeared in “The Shield,” “American Dreams,” “Everwood,” and “Deadwood.” Bell hit is big in theatres with “Pulse” and the Lifetime movie “Gracie’s Choice.” Currently Bell is the narrator of the new CW series “Gossip Girl” and was just added to cast of NBC’s hit series “Heroes.” Bell has two more films in the works, and there are rumors of a “Veronica Mars” movie.”

Huntington Woods native tests her powers in NBC prime-time drama

Kristen Bell might not have super powers in real life, but don€™t be surprised to start seeing her appear everywhere at once.

The 27-year-old actor, who grew up in Huntington Woods, wowed TV critics as the star of €œVeronica Mars.€ Since that show€™s cancellation, she has juggled a busy schedule, narrating the CW show €œGossip Girl€ and filming two upcoming movies, €œFanboys€ and €œForgetting Sarah Marshall.€

But Bell has recently garnered the most buzz for her Oct. 22 debut on NBC€™s sci-fi hit, €œHeroes.€ On the show, she plays Elle, a superhuman who was raised within a shadowy organization called the Company.

At an Oct. 16 media teleconference, Bell and €œHeroes€ creator Tim Kring unveiled a few facts about Elle. She is searching for Peter Petrelli (played by Milo Ventimiglia) and knows about his past. She also has connections to HRG (Jack Coleman) and Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere).

Though Bell kept her character€™s super power a secret, she said she found it refreshing to portray Elle€™s depth and conflict €” a clash of ferocity, guts and blindness to right and wrong.

€œShe€™s a little messed up in the head, which makes her really manipulative and always out to get what she wants,€ Bell said. €œShe very much enjoys her power and enjoys the emotional power it gives her over other people.€

We loved her as “Veronica Mars”. We enjoy her as the voice of “Gossip Girl”. Now Kristen Bell is joining the cast of “Heroes” this coming Monday the 22nd as Elle, a mysterious woman who is chasing the Peter Petrelli character all over Ireland. Is Elle a baddie or a friendly? We’ll have to tune in to find out. Kristen checked in with us on the phone and, in between, various attempts to wrangle her feisty dogs, she gave us a big scoop on her new character, her geeky pleasures, her personal long-time friendship with Hayden, the Hero she’d most like to interact with and what it’s like being the new kid on set.

TeenTelevision: Soon you’re going to appear before millions of people worldwide and you’re not playing a teen anymore. Yay! Is that a relief since you are in your 20′s in real life? Do you hope your fans will move on with you?

Kristen: Yes, I certainly hope so because I have always played about ten years younger than I am which is a major blessing just even in real life. My family’s very petite and I have a young- looking face and good genes I guess. I’m thankful to my parents. That being said, as an actor there are certain things that I’m going through in my own life in my late 20s that I’m experiencing and that’s what you draw upon in your acting. So I hope that I’ll be accepted as playing closer to my age. I know that I still look a lot younger. But I’m thankful to sort of be out of teenageville a little bit. I don’t dislike it at all but I’ve had a lot of it.
