If anyone has had problems with the site loading slowly since the domain switch, the site should be running much faster now. I’ve fixed the problem and it’s already working zippery on my end. =) Hope that it makes Kristen Bell Central much more enjoyable for visiting now, hehe.

Wow, I’m absolutely shocked at how many hits the site has received in only one day. I don’t know if our counter went funny, but we’ve received 5,000+ hits! How amazing. I really hope everyone is enjoying the site so far, and I know Jane is working hard on getting caught up with VM captures. Expect more episode caps this week!

With the series finale of Veronica Mars premiering tomorrow night, the CW has released the opening scene of Weevils Wobble But They Don’t Go Down. A 3 mintue clip of the 2 hour finale. The CW has also released 3 clips from Gossip Girl, a new series starting in the fall with Kristen as the one and only, Gossip Girl. You never see her in the series but we can hear her voice.

Kristen recently appeared at the Chanel Cruise Show presented by Karl Lagerfeld. I have added 29 photos of her attending the event. Also more news of Veronica Mars has been released.

“OK, here it is in a nutshell, per dawn ostroff. Veronica Mars is dead. But, and there is a but, she says she’s “talking to Rob and Kristen” about doing something else. She’s not calling it a spin-off, and wouldn’t say whether it would feature the character of Veronica. Translation; I’m as confused as ever! I forwarded Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas the comments Dawn Ostroff made at the CW upfront (read ‘em in my live blog) regarding the show’s fate, and below is the response he just sent me: “No one has talked to me about a new, non-Veronica project. All my writer’s have been offered jobs elsewhere, and I believe they will now all accept these jobs. Very, very, very sad day around the VM offices. I assume that anything Dawn would be talking about in the realm of a Rob-Kristen project would involve a new from-scratch pilot as they don’t have me in a deal, and they’ll lose Kristen in a couple of weeks.”

The show had three amazing seasons and the third seasonis to be released on dvd soon. And don’t forget the the series finale will appear this Tuesday for 2 whole hours! If you haven’t seen the preview you can view it here

Many recent articles I have read have said Veronica Mars has been cancelled, but a new one popped up at TV Guide; “Veronica Mars is still clinging to life.”

Despite reports this morning that the show has been canceled, Rob Thomas just assured me via e-mail that there’s “nothing definitive.” That jives with what I told you in Ask Ausiello: It’s possible CW head Dawn Ostroff is delaying a final verdict on VM until after Thursday’s upfront. One encouraging sign: Sources say Rob has passed on CBS’ offer to come aboard its new musical mystery drama Viva Laughlin! as an executive producer. (Rob declined to comment on anything Viva-related.) Anyone wanna guess what the first question out of my mouth will be at tomorrow’s CW press conference? C’mon, give it a shot.

On another note, Kristen Bell has been rumored to have taken on another project; “Gossip Girl”. Here is what TV Guide had to say:

With the CW poised to unfurl its official fall plans any moment now, a tentative sked making rounds has new cycles of Beauty and the Geek and Top Model kicking off Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The “comedy-thriller” (“chiller”?) Reaper will trail Geek, while O.C. creator Josh Schwartz’s Gossip Girl claims the plum aprs-Tyra spot. Adding to the buzzworthy Gossip is EW.com’s report that Kristen Bell (she of that little show called Veronica Mars) will serve as the never-seen narrator/blogger.

Although Lindsay took the number one stop (which I don’t think was very well chosen), the stunning Kristen Bell still managed to grab a top 50 spot by placing as #46 in this years Maxim Hot 100 list. Other celebrity hotties on the list included celebrity sisters Hilary and Haylie Duff (23, 89) and Ashlee and Jessica Simpson (16, 41), tennis hottie Maria Sharapova (17), Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger (22), Ashley Olsen (37), “Heroes” reality bender Missy Peregrym (53), “Battlestar Galactica” cylon Tricia Helfer (57), “Lost’s” Evangeline Lilly (68) and the 3-D animated Second Life Girl (95).
Edit: This is what they had to say about Kristen..

“Voted PETA’s World’s Sexiest Vegetarian last year, this Veronica Mars star has single-handedly saved the CW from becoming the worst network ever. Next she hits the big screen (with William Shatner) in Fanboys.

The full list can be found at maximonline.com, and the special issue will hit new stands saturday May 18.
